At Fundació Horta Sud we have been working for more than 50 years to strengthen the associative fabric and generate collective change that puts people and grassroots work at the center

The responses to both local and global challenges are tackled collectively. Despite the rise of individualism in all areas of life, social, political, and economic progress continues to be the result of joint action. In fact, there’s no need to look far back; just look around us to see it: non-formal education, music, sport, festivities, culture, the defense of the territory, social inclusion… All these everyday aspects are driven by associations—groups of people without profit motives who work selflessly for the common good. These are the people who live in the same neighborhood, town, or city as we do, who share our daily concerns and hopes, and who structure and energize our municipalities.

At Fundació Horta Sud we have spent fifty years supporting all the associations that work to build a better, fairer, more inclusive, and more plural world. We also work to increase participation and build our region.

We do all this through different projects: Escola d’Associacions, Serà Horta Sud 2030, Impact Evaluation, Grants for Projects That Change the World, campaigns to promote the associative fabric… And always with two premises:

  1. Not doing anything that the associative fabric doesn’t need, and
  2. Ensuring that services and activities have no cost for associations and their members.

Therefore, every individual contribution—no matter how small—is a great help to keep developing all the programs aimed at strengthening associations. In addition, Fundació Comunitària Horta Sud is a non-profit entity recognized as being of public utility, which means that donating to the Foundation not only goes directly to activities and services designed for associations and directed to them, but also donating to the Foundation allows you to deduct up to 80% of your contribution on your income tax return.

Other ways to contribute to strengthening the associative fabric:

Empreses Associacions

If you are a company, you can donate to Fundació Horta Sud or contribute to the call for Grants for Projects That Change the World, awarded by Fundació Horta Sud, Caixa Popular and Grupo Ugarte Automoción, which this year reaches its 30th edition. Over all these years, more than 194 projects have been funded and grants worth €313,671 have been awarded.

Voluntari Associacions

Most of the work carried out by associations is possible thanks to the hours and hours of volunteer work contributed by their members. In an association, every profile is a great help to move its mission forward. By investing the hours you can—however few—in an association, you provide support that multiplies results.

Associa't Associacions

As with volunteering, associations need active hands and minds to keep developing their activities, design new projects, and deal with day-to-day issues. Joining an association means becoming part of a collective of people with shared interests and a clear vision: to transform reality selflessly.
