More than 50 years supporting the associative movement
Our main goal is to strengthen the associative movement, essential to shaping what we aim to become: a fairer society committed to human rights and democratic values, working towards progress through the diversity of individuals.
Who we are
Fundació Horta Sud is a community foundation that promotes association among individuals as the only way to transcend in a vital project within today’s society, where individualism stands as a dominant trend.
In a world where the only social networks seem to be digital, we aim to recover the original social network formed by real people who help and understand each other. This is why we believe in active citizen participation to dignify the community and the territory.

We intervene in our immediate environment to break the invisibility in which many people live, restoring their inalienable identity and providing them with hope and a future.
What we do
We support associations and their members in their collective process. We provide them with the tools they need to maximize their challenges and projects.
We also maintain a close relationship with local municipalities and technical staff. Thanks to the synergy we establish with them—through specific training and advisory programs—we achieve one of our main objectives: helping associations improve.
Since when
Since 1972, we have carried out this work in many municipalities of the Horta Sud region. Over these decades of consolidation and growth, we have learned something very valuable: we can only build ourselves as human beings in relation to those around us.
Why we do it
Because we firmly believe that only through associationism—the united strength of many people—can we leave future generations a much more beautiful and fair place to live.
How we do it
We approach our work with a direct, close, and warm relationship with each individual. We know their names, their stories, their sources of joy, and their challenges. What drives them to get up every morning, what they tirelessly fight for, and what concerns them.
