Associations School

We offer training, consultancy, networking events, and free practical resources for associations, aiming to strengthen the associative movement committed to defending human rights and democratic values.

People come together to act, to intervene in their environment, to solve problems, to propose changes, but also to share feelings, hobbies, and interests. Ultimately, to share social values.

WHAT IS THE ASSOCIATIONS SCHOOL?

The Associations School is a project offering continuous training, support and consultancy, practical resources, and networking events to reflect on shared challenges facing the associative movement.

Through the School, associations can enhance their impact on municipalities and educate a more committed citizenry, strengthening internal structures, increasing participation, improving processes, transparency, communication, and more. All activities are provided with schedules and formats tailored to the needs of all associations.

Training and Courses

The training offerings from the Horta Sud Foundation are the result of over forty years of work aimed at strengthening the associative fabric. These years have been enriched by the experiences, needs, challenges, and knowledge of the associations we collaborate with, promoting a vibrant, dynamic, and effective associative fabric—a necessary condition for economic, political, educational, and cultural development, and for deepening democracy in any society.

Consultancy Service

The Consultancy Service helps each association resolve some of the issues that may arise in day-to-day management, such as legal, fiscal, accounting, or labor questions. We approach these challenges considering the specific characteristics of the associative world.
This service is free for non-profit entities under Organic Law 1/2002, of March 22.

Practical Resources

Practical resources, divided into practical tools and practical booklets, provide associations with solutions to key questions in just a few minutes. The practical booklets showcase how associations can drive social change through real-world examples and guides on vital topics, such as transparency, equality, or the creation, management, and dissolution of an association. On the other hand, practical tools offer answers to common questions in infographic formats.

Networking Events

In addition to courses, personalized consultancy, and practical resources, the Associations School also includes a networking component, consisting of diverse events. These events address the need for the associative sector to have meeting points for connecting, sharing, and empowering. Municipal and sector-specific meetings are held to highlight the work of the associative fabric and foster synergies and collaborations that advance the common good.
