Once again, we support the associative movement through the School of Associations
January 20, 2025 – Once again, from the Horta Sud Foundation we are developing the program The School of Associations, with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana, to respond to the needs of associations through continuous training actions, accompaniment, counselling, practical resources, and meeting points.
The main objectives of the School of Associations are:
• To help and support the associative movement in fulfilling its legal and transparency obligations.
• To increase participation within associations so that they serve as channels for participation and social transformation.
• To assist associations in fulfilling their social functions.
• To provide tools to organizations so that they become stronger and more autonomous.
• To create spaces for collective reflection and citizen participation networks to improve the municipality.
The training topics around which the scheduled courses revolve are:
- Internal management: Includes documentary, fiscal, labour obligations and the management of the association.
- Communication and dissemination: Based on the importance and need to communicate, teaching how to spread and publicize the activities and actions of the association.
- Relations: Covers aspects for planning the association’s relations with institutions, other associations and its surroundings.
- Projects, activities, courses and services: Allows learning how to plan, control and monitor projects, activities, courses and services.
- Values: In relation to the social function and improvement of the environment. It is the raison d’être that goes beyond objectives and activities.
The year 2025 is marked by the work of accompanying the organizations affected by the DANA of October 29, 2024, an episode that tested the capacity for organization, mutual support, and solidarity of our associations. For this reason, we have prepared new courses responding to the demands of the associations affected by the DANA.
