Open Call for Inter-Associative Projects for the Transformation of Areas Affected by the DANA

April 25, 2025 – The Fundació Comunitària Horta Sud continues its Social Recovery and Transformation Plan for the areas affected by the DANA with the call for Inter-Associative Projects «We Transform in Network», framed within a second phase where the priority is to promote initiatives that foster cooperation, resilience, and learning.

Specifically, this call aims to support the implementation of cultural, social, or educational development projects that promote collaboration among non-profit organizations registered in any of the towns affected by the DANA, according to the Consell Decree.

This year, for the first time and due to the circumstances arising from the catastrophe, the total allocation of the call is €300,000 and the amount of the grants will be determined proportionally based on the score assigned by the Selection Committee, with a maximum of €20,000 per project.

This has been made possible thanks to the effort and commitment of the eight driving organizations behind this initiative: Fundació Horta Sud, Caixa Popular, Grupo Ugarte Automoción, Florida Universitària, Fundación Telefónica, Lacomunicación, Asociación Española de Fundaciones, and Comelsa.

A representation of these organisations, in addition to the Asociación Española de Fundaciones and Fundación Movimiento Ciudadano, will form the Committee that will select the projects it considers most appropriate, determining precisely the amount of their contribution.They will particularly value initiatives that meet a series of characteristics, such as contributing to the recovery of the affected regions, alignment with the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda, clarity and coherence in the description of the area of action, networking alliances, and transparency on the organizations’ websites.

Associations can submit their projects until May 26, 2025 through this form, which, along with the terms and conditions, will also be available on the Fundació’s website and the websites of all the other entities promoting the call and forming part of the Project Selection Committee.

Over 30 Years of Inter-Associative Projects

We are aware that financial support is vital to expanding the reach of non-profit organizations’ actions, which generally operate with very limited resources and depend on few sources of funding. For this reason, we have been providing financial resources to social entities in the region for over 30 years through the Inter-Associative Projects call, to help strengthen their capacities.

Over these years, we have awarded grants totaling €333,671, making possible a total of 208 projects promoted by more than 900 organizations. Now, this edition is even more relevant due to its impact on the reconstruction and transformation of the areas affected by the DANA.

This year, after the DANA, «it is more important than ever to support projects that transform our region. With this multiplier methodology, which brings together companies and organizations, we maximize the impact of the grants and enable more collective initiatives».
